Frequently Asked Questions
San Diego Alumni Chapter - FAQs
Q: I got some emails asking to join the alumni chapter. I thought I was already a BGS member? Is the chapter membership different than regular membership?
A:Yes, they are different. You must sign up each year to renew your alumni chapter membership with any BGS alumni chapter in the USA (or abroad).
Q: Do we need to re-apply every year for Alumni membership?
A:
Yes, we do this so we know you are still a San Diego member and have not moved to a different city, and that you are interested in participating in the chapter activities. Other chapters do this because they charge dues each year. You also get a copy of The Week for free if you register - it's something new inductees get (since 2008), but if you were inducted before that you can now get it too by formally signing up as a chapter member. (Just fill out the form). San Diego Alumni Chapter Membership is FREE, and it ensures that you receive event notifications and important reminders from the chapter.

If you are also looking to help the community, BGS SD also offers events that reach out to local organizations, parks, and non-profits. Q: How can Beta Gamma Sigma help me in my career?
A: Beta Gamma Sigma is recognized throughout the business world as the leading honor society for business and management education. Potential employers are encouraged to contact the Central Office to verify the membership of applicants.
