Escape the June gloom at the beach and come spend a sunny afternoon at Orfila's 70 acres of lush vineyards and rolling hills where you will feel like you have been transported to the Tuscan countryside. Enjoy a private wine making tour of Orfila Vineyards and Winery and a special tasting of five selected Orfila wines (included in price). Each guest will receive a souvenir wine glass.
Conclude your visit with a V.I.P. shopping experience in the Tasting Room gift shop and/or a picnic on the beautiful grounds and rose gardens. Bring your own picnic basket of goodies, or purchase your favorite goodies at the gift shop. The tour and tasting last approximately one hour, but please linger, network, and enjoy the grounds afterward (Or if you are a zoo member, the Wild Animal Park is just a few miles further down the road).
Orfila Vineyards & Winery is an ultra-premium boutique winery nestled in the picturesque San Pasqual Valley, approximately 30 minutes from San Diego, on the way to the Wild Animal Park/San Diego Safari Park. Orfila produces award-winning Rhone-style wines from grapes grown on its hillside estate located approximately 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean and from other renowned grape-growing regions in coastal California. Directions: Take I-15 to Via Rancho Parkway in Escondido (toward Wild Animal Park/San Diego Safari Park) and drive east for approximately one mile. Turn right onto San Pasqual Road and drive approximately one mile, past Vineyard Golf Course. The winery will be on the right side of the road. Look for our group visit signs directing you to the grape arbor or ask a winery representative for directions.
